slice-of-life

When you're new to the job

Being a good coworker, means all this. Across all levels:

Don’t rush to create your first PR, instead understand the system and team process. Whats there, why it’s there, what are the reasons for things to be the way it is. Gather context, lots and lots before rushing in.

Perceptual velocity - how your speed is perceived by another person, and how your contribution is perceived too. Can you do that all day sustainably? Like sprinting in a marathon? Observe the speed of your teammates too… Choose what’s realistic and healthy.
